Growing up in California, I’ve always been an ocean girl. 💁🏼♀️
There’s just something so magical about that meeting place between land and sea, and the sense of wonder it brings. ✨
As I was painting one day, I glanced out my window and noticed some really crazy clouds in the sky. 👀
I could just tell that this was going to be an epic sunset!
I grabbed my camera and rushed out the door on my bike, racing the sun before it slipped away.
As I pedaled along the shoreline, the warm sun kissed my skin as a cool, salty breeze swept through my hair.
The clouds began to glow, and I knew I had timed it just right. 🙌
Golden light cascaded over the succulents along the dunes, lighting up with rich reds, greens, and golds.
Hearing the sound of the waves, I hopped off my bike and kicked off my shoes.
The warm sand welcomed my bare feet as I ran past the scattered seaweed to dip my toes in the cold water.
The shock from the cold made me feel so alive, like I was a kid again!
As the sun descended over the horizon, I gasped in awe at the vibrant colors that lit up the sky, and the sun’s reflection sparkling on the waves.
In that moment, I felt drawn to reflect on the beauty and mystery of life, feeling a soothing sense of inner peace as I gazed into the soft warm light.

About Jessica
Jessica is a fine artist based out of San Francisco, California. She is known and celebrated as a visionary artist and live performance painter whose work has been featured in galleries like Threyda, Tribe 13, Boom Museum Of Visionary Art, and the San Francisco Women Artists Gallery.
She has exhibited at events such as the Bioneers Conference and MAPS Psychedelic Science, and has performed on stage at major festivals including O.Z.O.R.A. in Hungary, Envision in Costa Rica, and numerous events across the U.S.
Her work is published in Women of Visionary Art, Mushroom Magazine, and Permaculture Magazine, and she illustrated the cover of Starhawk’s novel City of Refuge.
Previously mentored by Android Jones, she holds a BFA in Illustration from the Academy of Art University and has collectors across the United States and Europe.
In her free time, Jessica enjoys dancing, growing vegetables and flowers in her garden, and tending to an always growing collection of houseplants.
